Our client, a new and innovative record label and music publisher, is seeking an ambitious Commercial Finance Manager to contribute to FP&A functions and financial reporting.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Conducting financial management and internal reporting, working with the internal finance team and external accountants.
• Communicating complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders and providing recommendations and analysis for decision making.
• Providing oversight to monthly management accounts, to include detailed variance analysis using internal reporting.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly Board packs and reporting.
• Undertaking reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis to external investors.
• Fielding external reporting needs for covenant reporting, new catalogue acquisition reporting, handling independent valuations, and debt documentation.
• Supporting external accountants with statutory accounts preparation.
• Working closely with external accountants to ensure accurate and timely month-end close and reporting process.
• Participating in learning and personal growth opportunities with senior management to include the CFO, private equity investors and external accountants.
• Converting long-range and annual strategy into financial forecast models.
• Preparing the annual budget and reforecasts to include three-statement modelling and scenario analysis.
• Collaborating with external and internal stakeholders on resource plans and budgets.
• Contributing to the company’s ability of current systems to scale with the pace of business growth.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external accountants to optimise processes.
Requirements:
• Experience in the music industry (label or publishing) is essential.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or the equivalent in experience.
• Demonstrable track record with FP&A (budgeting and planning).
• Proven experience with supporting commercial decision making.
• Advanced excel skills and confident financial modeller.
• Experience working with financial operations teams to deliver month-end reporting to high standards.
• Good interpersonal skills and collaboration abilities.
